About Our Church
The Swedish Evangelical Free Church formed as the Swedish Evangelical Free Mission in Boone, Iowa, in October 1884.
Several churches that had been members of the Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Ansgar Synod and the Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Mission Synod, along with some independent congregations, were instrumental in organizing this voluntary fellowship.
To make spiritually-mature disciples of Jesus Christ.
Our strategy of making mature disciples is to facilitate growing relationships with Christ, healthy relationships with each other, and caring relationships with the community and the world.
Our ministry programs are the way to grow as a Christian and fellowship with others.
The Evangelical Free Church of America is an association of autonomous churches united around these theological convictions. The EFCA Statement of Faith and Distinctives clarify doctrinal positions.
