Our town has gone thru many changes since the "CAMP Fire" of November 2018. Many people left because their homes were destroyed. We are building back our community and our church. Our congregation is made up of many survivors and is willing to share their experience. Let me or my staff help you in your search for peace and understanding of our Lord. May he fill you with strength and humility.
My Story
I came to PEFC in October 2012, having spent the previous 9 1/2 years as the Teaching and Counseling Pastor at Chico Evangelical Free Church. Before the ministry, I was a baseball executive with the Oakland A’s, earning a World Series ring in 1989 (which I frequently shows off hoping to impress people!).
I attended San Francisco State University (BA Journalism, ’82) and Golden Gate Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDiv, ’92).
Elisabeth and I, have been married 35 years. She teaches kindergarten at Oroville Christian School. We have three children, Lydia, Alec, and Abbey.
