Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
The children’s ministry of PEFC seeks to encourage children to growing their faith in God and develop a Biblical view of the world. Scripture is the core value of our ministry. We teach historical accounts from the old and new testament.
We teach what it is to follow Jesus. We model His love for children and what it looks like to be a Christ follower in thought, word, and deed. We nurture children in a clean, safe environment and seek to partner with parents on their journey to raise children in the faith.
Scott and Katherine Sorich have been married for eight years and have three young children. They both grew up in the Bay Area, but have called Butte County and Paradise Evangelical Free Church home for seven years. They enjoy riding their road bikes, taking family walks, raising their animals, and gardening. Katherine loves sewing.
Katherine has been a credentialed teacher for over ten years. She has worked in various education settings to include private Christian schools, public schools, teaching abroad, and was the former Children’s Director of Paradise Evangelical Free Church.
Scott has worked in public safety for over ten years. Working formerly as an EMT, he is currently in local Law Enforcement. He also enjoys playing the drums on the church praise team. He has taught and led adult Bible studies, and enjoys studying theology. Leading and instructing his own children in the word of God, prayer, and discipline is a great joy to him.
We are eager to equip children in the instruction of the Lord, partner with parents, and to share the Gospel.
Vacation Bible School
VBS is a vital part of children's ministries. Every summer we focus on teaching children in a great learning environment with Bible teaching, competitive games, and crafts. Look at the attached video to see how much fun we have during VBS Week.
