Continuing Community Outreach on the Ridge

An Update from Pastor Art Worthington. June 16, 2021

A big part of our ministry continues to be helping Paradise recover from the November 2018 Camp Fire. One of the primary ways we do this is by hosting volunteer teams that stay at our church while doing service projects in the community. A typical team consists of 10-20 people and a typical week's work includes light construction (for those with skills and strength), yard clean-up, interactions with home owners and their children, outreach events (block parties, BBQ's, etc), prayer walks, and projects on the church campus to maintain and improve the facility.

Our dormitory is set up to accommodate up to 30 people. We have comfortable bunkbeds, built using reclaimed wood. We have a state-of-the-art shower trailer, complete with a laundry facility, courtesy of a generous grant from the Butte Strong Fund and the North Valley Community Foundation. We also have an upgraded, restaurant-quality kitchen and provide delicious meals and snacks for our teams. Our church has partnered with ReachGlobal Crisis Response to ensure teams are properly equipped and thoroughly enjoy their visits to Paradise.

If you would like to schedule a trip to Paradise Evangelical Free Church to minister to the people of Paradise, please contact us at (530)877-4241 or email us at office@paradiseefc.org.
